HUDSON — City Council will soon have a vacancy to fill.

Council member Dr. J. Dan Williams (At-Large) on Tuesday announced he is resigning from his legislative post effective March 20. Williams has served on city council for 13 1/2 years.

The city will be accepting applicants to fill the At-Large Council position. Applicants can apply online at on the Government Boards and Commissions page. Hopefuls should complete the application form and submit it online. The deadline for applications is 4 p.m. on March 31.

Council will review the applications and hold interviews in April, with the goal of making an appointment in May.
