The Instrumental Music Patrons will host Musical Horizons, at Cuyahoga Falls High School on March 14. The event includes performances by jazz music students from throughout the Cuyahoga Falls City School District.

"The IMP looks forward to welcoming our Cuyahoga Falls community for a night of fine jazz music, while raising funds to support music education for all instrumental music students in our district," says Mark Bowers, second vice president of the IMP and event chairman.

There will also be several silent auction raffle baskets with items such as Cleveland Orchestra and Akron Symphony Tickets, a Ring Doorbell, etc to bid on. Doors open at 6:30 p.m., with the concert starting at 7 p.m. Featured instrumental groups include the 7 O’Clock Jazz Ensemble, Bolich Jazz Band, Roberts Jazz Band, and The Gold Tones Jazz Orchestra.

"Students will perform a diverse program, including tunes by Miles Davis, Cannonball Adderley, Glenn Miller, Duke Ellington, Mongo Santamaria, and Kool & The Gang. This year’s theme, ‘Kind of Blues’ traces the many ways in which the blues has influenced jazz over the decades" said Gold Tones Director, Jim Lang.

"We are incredibly excited to showcase all our jazz groups across the district," says Courtney Lambert, Director of the 7 O’Clock Jazz Ensemble. "Musical Horizons is a great opportunity to feature our many talented students."

Tickets are available on-line at: cfhsbands.ludus.com and at the door. Proceeds benefit the Instrumental Music Patrons, which supports instrumental music education throughout the district.
