CUYAHOGA FALLS — About five to 10 customers along Wyoga Lake Road between Graham and Steels Corners roads lost water service for two to three hours Monday afternoon after a contractor working in the area accidentally hit a water service line.

City spokesperson Kelli Crawford-Smith said a company that is working to install a new gas line "inadvertently" hit a home’s water service line at about 1 p.m. Mayor Don Walters said the city had to shut down the water main to allow the company to repair the service line.

Water service was restored later in the afternoon.
