TALLMADGE – The Tallmadge Chamber of Commerce recognized top businesses Dec. 10 at its Annual Chamber Awards Banquet at the Venue Banquet Center.
Tallmadge Chamber of Commerce Trustee Jim West served as master of ceremonies for the evening with Becky Allman and Jon Kozesky presenting the awards.
The Humanitarian Award went to Shelter Care and Executive Director Wes Fair and Director of Development Bre Whirrett.
The Business of the Year went to The Venue Banquet Center with acceptance by owner Matt Hollingsworth and banquet manager Beth Genovese.
The Investment in the Future award went to Tallmadge Service Department with Mike Rorar, director of Public Service; Mike Weigand, street superintendent; and Wayne Corbett, assistant street superintendent, accepting the award.
Customer Service Award went to Tallmadge Chiropractic with Dr. Serif Krkic and Dr. Amanda Braden accepting the award.
The Chamber Ambassador Award which is voted on by peers went to Dr. Serif Krkic.
Judge Linda Teodosio installed the 2020 officers and trustees. The new officers are president Meghan Thompson, vice president Tom Headrick, treasurer Cheryl Ray and secretary Mike Carter.
The past president was Kevin Pratt who received the 2019 Tallmadge Chamber of Commerce President’s Recognition Award.
Trustees were sworn in and include Sandy Baylor, Julie Bozic, Ginger Cook, Jerry Feeman, Janette Fortseras, Kelsey Frimel, Dr. Serif Krkic, D. Manuselis, Rhonda Moffatt, Jody Rearick, Stephanie Smith, Cathy Victor and Jim West.
Western Reserve Hospital donated the dessert for the evening celebration.
