911 hangup leads to marijuana charge: A Pebble Creek man, 25, was arrested and charged with possession of marijuana and for drug paraphernalia on Nov. 7 after a 911 hangup call. Officers were dispatched to the area at just after midnight after they were told by dispatch that a man was overheard telling a female to say everything was all right and to hang up. While in the area, the responding officers found two vehicle occupied by the Pebble Creek man and a woman. While the officers were talking to them, they reported smelling marijuana from the man's vehicle. A search uncovered a cigar wrapper with a marijuana cigarette, a jar with marijuana, a grander and scale with marijuana residue and a box of sandwich bags.
Teens out past curfew arrested: An Aurora boy, 17, and an Andover Drive boy, 16, were both arrested and charged with curfew violations and drug-related charges Nov. 7 after employees with a local Vail Drive business reported seeing them drive around the store and park in the rear lot at around 11:30 p.m. Responding officers found and arrested the two boys for being out past curfew, as well as drug paraphernalia, drug abuse, and possessing tobacco. Police found cigarillo wrappers, a bag of marijuana, a BB gun and black brass knuckles.
EMS called for attack: A 21-year-old Euclid man was arrested and charged with domestic violence Nov. 13 after a Nov. 11 incident at an East Aurora Road business. Police were called to the business after 2 p.m. in response to an assault. A 17-year-old Cleveland girl said the man, who is the father of her child, attacked her. She had a cut lip and was checked by EMS. The Euclid man left before police arrived. He pleaded not guilty Nov. 13 in Stow Municipal Court, and a hearing has been scheduled for Jan. 6. He is out on 10% of a $5,000 bond.
Driving Under Suspension
Man pulled over, found to have warrants: A 23-year-old Oakwood man was arrested and charged with driving under suspension Nov. 19 after he was pulled over on Route 91 at Interstate 480 for driving slowly. The responding officer discovered he was wanted on warrants through Walton Hills and Aurora for failing to appear on separate DUS charges. Because of his history of not showing up to court, he was held on 10% of a $2,500 bond at the Solon Jail. D/L Towing impounded the vehicle he was driving. He is scheduled to appear Dec. 4 in Stow Municipal Court.
Attack reported at high school: A Ravenna Road female was arrested and charged with assault Nov. 19 after police were called to the high school. No age was given for the arrested female on the police report. The reported victim was a 15-year-old female.
