Debris found at golf course: Police responded to a report of a suspicious pile of debris found at Gleneagles Golf Course during the late morning Nov. 4. The debris was not identified in a police report.

Man stopped for traffic violations: A Beechmont Court man, 42, was charged with operating a vehicle under the influence of alcohol, marked lanes and turn signals after police stopped his vehicle on East Aurora Road near Dutton Drive at a little after 11 p.m. Nov. 3. The man performed poorly on the field sobriety tests, said police, and he was given a Stow Municipal Court date and released on a personal bond.


Cashier shortchanged: Police charged a Cleveland man, 33, with misdemeanor theft, driving under suspension and speeding after an East Aurora Road restaurant employee reported the man stole $20 from the restaurant by shortchanging a cashier while paying for food during the late morning Nov. 1. Police said that they stopped the man after clocking his vehicle’s speed at 86 mph in a 65 mph zone on Interstate 480 westbound at about 10:40 p.m. the same day. The man was held in Solon City Jail on 10 percent of $2,500 bond.
