CUYAHOGA FALLS — An Akron man has been charged with first-degree felony robbery in connection with the theft of more than $150,000 in diamonds and other jewelry from the Howe Avenue Jared’s Galleria this past June.

According to Stow Municipal Court date, a warrant was issued for the arrest of 27-year-old Antoine Kingdamon Jr. after Cuyahoga Falls police filed the charge Nov. 7.

Police say that three individuals wearing hoods and masks entered the store at about 3 p.m. June 30. According to a complaint against Kingdamon that police filed with the court, the suspects ordered everyone in the store to get down on the ground, smashed a display case with a hammer and grabbed merchandise totaling about $156,500 in value. The complaint says the other individuals are unidentified.

Police said the suspects then fled in a vehicle.
