On the back of the suspect’s vehicle, a sticker said, "If you hit me with my baby in the car...I’ll stomp your a** ‘til the cops come."

According to Aurora police, the suspect, Maicen Fogleman, 22, of 1141 Route 44, Mantua Township, assaulted someone he was tailgating.

According to an Aurora police report, officers were dispatched on Tuesday to East Garfield Road/Route 82 around 3 p.m. for a report of two men fighting. When they arrived, traffic was backed up for several hundred yards in both directions.

Brian Brodnik, 52, of Chagrin Falls, was holding a second man, identified as Fogleman, to the ground in the westbound lane of Route 82 on the bridge. He told police that Fogleman had been tailgating him excessively and following him.

When Brodnik pulled over, stopped his car and turned on his hazards, police say, Fogleman pulled in front of him, exited the vehicle, and allegedly punched and kicked Brodnik’s car and then allegedly punched Brodnik in the face. He also allegedly smashed Brodnik’s glasses.

Fogleman then allegedly opened Brodnik’s car door. Brodnik said he then wrestled Fogelman to the ground and held him until police arrived.

Fogleman told police that he had been driving behind Brodnik’s van east on Route 82 when Brodick put on his hazard lights and stopped. Fogleman said he attempted to go around Brodick’s van, but the van started to pull out toward Fogleman. He then stopped his car in front of the van and exited.

Brodnik had injuries to his face, left hand, forearm and knee, according to police. He was treated by a rescue squad at the scene.

Multiple witnesses had accounts similar to Brodnik’s according to police.

Fogleman was arrested for assault, a first-degree misdemeanor, and inducing panic, a fourth-degree felony. According to court records, he was placed in Portage County jail in lieu of a 10% of $25,000 bond.
