TWINSBURG — An estimated 400 to 500 people came to the Twinsburg Fire Department’s annual open house Wednesday.

"We had a great crowd all night long," said Fire Chief Tim Morgan. "We had good engagement with the public in all we do. It’s been a great night."

Those attending were able to enjoy pizza and ice cream, meet Sparky the Fire Dog, learn how to use a fire extinguisher and check out the inside of several fire department vehicles. There were drawings for prizes, including dinner with the firefighters.

Participating agencies included University Hospitals, Cleveland Clinic, UH MedEvac, Twinsburg Gionino’s, Twinsburg Handel’s, Great Beginnings Pediatric Dentistry, Girl Talk, Twinsburg Fire Explorers Post 34, and Twinsburg CERT.
