TALLMADGE – Find opportunities for service in the community and celebrate God.

Tallmadge Lutheran Church, 759 East Ave., is offering “Tallmadge United, a Pep Talk with a Purpose” Oct. 24 with registration and refreshments at 8:15 a.m.

Keynote speaker the Rev. Nozomi Ikuta works at the national UCC office in Cleveland where she is actively involved in working for racial justice. She worked as a union organizer for three years before serving at Denison Avenue United Church of Christ as pastor.

The 40-member church is able to serve 1,300 neighborhood families through multiple ministries.

A panel discussion at 9:40 a.m. includes members of Tallmadge police department, Tallmadge fire department, Faithful Servants Care Center, Good Neighbors Food Panty, city of Tallmadge Community Development and Tallmadge City School District. Facilitator will be Bryson Davis, pastor of Front Porch Fellowship.

Future plans and goals will be discussed at 10:45 a.m. with a closing worship by Pastor Alberts at 11:15 a.m. and final thoughts at 12:15 p.m.

A suggested donation of $10 can be given.
