Vehicle heavily damaged: A Hartville woman reported someone caused an estimated $1,500 in damage to her vehicle while it was parked outside a Linda Street apartment during the day Sept. 16. Police said there were scratches all over one side, including insulting words, the gas cap was open and it looked like something was poured into the gas tank, the rear license plate was folded and an unknown fluid was poured all over the vehicle. Police said the woman suggested a possible suspect.
Woman reports incidents: A woman reported Sept. 16 that someone wrote some letters in charcoal on her front porch and set a beach ball on fire with a paper towel on the porch in Strecker Drive’s 100 block since the evening before.
Woman was screaming: A 50-year-old Akron woman was cited with disorderly conduct while intoxicated after police responded to a report that the woman was trying to drive away from a West Avenue restaurant at about 8:30 p.m. Sept. 10. Police said they found the woman in the restaurant’s parking lot and she screamed at them and her clothing was in disarray. Police said they drove the woman home.
