Suspicions

Man delivering food: Police said that after they responded to a report of a man knocking on a Luden Avenue home’s front door at about 2:30 a.m. Sept. 15, they determined the man was trying to deliver food ordered from a restaurant.

Driver playing game: Police said that after they stopped to investigate when they saw a vehicle in the Brust Park parking lot at about 11:35 p.m. Sept. 12, they determined the driver was playing an online search game. Police said they told the man it was after hours and he could not be in the park.

Found property

Gun and ammo found: A Tallmadge man reported Sept. 9 that he found a revolver with a detached cylinder, 113 rounds of .38-caliber ammunition, three rounds of 9 mm ammunition and firearms safety manuals at a home he owns in Oakhurst Drive’s 100 block. Police said they took possession of the items.

Criminal damaging

Flag written on: A man reported someone used a permanent marker to write a derogatory word on a sports team flag of unspecified value hanging on the front of his garage in Kenneth Road’s 4000 block while he was at work during the day.

Operating a vehicle under the influence

Girl was in vehicle: Police said they charged a 35-year-old Stow woman with fourth-degree felony operating a vehicle under the influence of alcohol and misdemeanor charges of child endangerment and blood alcohol content test refusal after witnesses reported the woman was allegedly driving while intoxicated. Police said they stopped the woman’s vehicle on Graham Road at Klein Avenue at a little after 4 p.m. Sept. 4 and found a 13-year-old girl was a passenger in the vehicle. Police said the woman was charged with the felony because of three prior OVI convictions. The woman was taken to Macedonia City Jail.

Fraud

Man reports threatening email: A Stow man reported Sept. 4 that an unknown person sent him an email claiming that the person had hacked his computer, infected it with malware and acquired bank account information, as well as personal information that the person threatened to expose if the man did not pay $1,200 in cybercurrency. The man said he had his bank accounts frozen and no money was taken and he planned on having his computer checked.

Theft

Landscape lights stolen: A woman reported Sept. 4 that someone stole seven solar landscape lights of unspecified value from outside her home in Woodbury Oval’s 3800 block a week before.

CDs stolen from library: Police said they responded to a report that someone stole at least 10 music CDs of unspecified value from the Stow-Munroe Falls Public Library off Darrow Road during the afternoon Sept. 3.

Criminal trespassing

Patio entered: A man reported someone entered his home’s enclosed patio in East Celeste View Drive’s 2800 block during the morning or afternoon Sept. 1. Nothing was reported missing.
