Gun found in vehicle: A 32-year-old Ravenna man was charged with third-degree felony weapons under disability, fifth-degree felony charges of carrying a concealed weapon and three counts of aggravated drug possession, and misdemeanor obstructing official business, driving official business and obstructed windshield after police stopped the man’s vehicle in South Avenue’s 300 block at about 11:45 a.m. Sept. 4. Police said they found a loaded revolver in the man’s vehicle, as well as a prescription opioid medication the man allegedly did not have a prescription for and suspected heroin and meth. Police said the weapons under disability charge is due to the man not being allowed to possess a firearm following a previous felony drug-related conviction and the obstruction charge was due to the man not following orders when told not to reach for his pockets. The man was taken to Summit County Jail.
