Operating a vehicle
under the influence
Woman drove into ditch: Police said they charged a 56-year-old Akron woman with operating a vehicle under the influence of alcohol and failure to control after she drove into a ditch while driving her car on the bike trail off Barlow Road near the Wood Hollow Metro Park entrance at about 6:50 p.m. Sept. 5. No injuries were reported. The woman performed poorly on the field sobriety tests, said police, and was given a Stow Municipal Court date and released on a personal bond.
Fraudulent activity reported: An East Case Drive woman reported Sept. 5 that there was unspecified fraudulent activity involving her bank card. Information about any financial loss was not included in a police report.
