Stick shift lesson given: Police said that after they responded to a report of a car being driven in circles around a West Streetsboro Street church’s parking lot at about 8:30 p.m. Aug. 12, they discovered that the car’s driver was teaching a friend how to use a stick shift. Police said they told the driver to find somewhere else to give the lesson.
Screen door found open: An East Sapphire Drive man reported finding his home’s rear door partially open at about 9:15 p.m. Aug. 7. Police said they searched the area, but were unable to find anyone suspicious.
Door was open: Police said they responded to a report of an open exterior door at at Valley View Road home at about 12:40 a.m. Aug. 6, checked the door and did not find any indications the home had been entered.
Car was repossessed: Police said that after a woman reported her car had been stolen from outside a Georgetown Road business during the early afternoon Aug. 6, they determined the car had not been stolen, but repossessed.
Woman found in Pennsylvania: Police said that several hours after a relative of an elderly Hudson woman reported the woman had been missing for 12 hours on Aug. 6, police in Murrysville, Pa., near Pittsburgh reported the woman somehow made her way there and she was found safe in a store parking lot. Hudson police said the woman’s family made arrangements to have someone go to Pennsylvania to bring the woman home.
