STOW — A 22-year-old Cleveland man was charged with fourth-degree felony carrying a concealed weapon and first-degree misdemeanor aggravated menacing after police responded to a report that the man was allegedly "brandishing a firearm during a traffic altercation" at the Speedway gas station at the intersection of Fishcreek and Stow roads late Monday morning, said Police Capt. Bryan Snavely.
Snavely said no injuries were reported.
Snavely said the other motorist involved, a woman, reported the incident at 10:26 a.m. The man had left, but police searched the area and found and stopped his vehicle.
"The male involved was taken into custody," said Snavely. "A weapon, a 9mm handgun, was recovered. It was loaded."
Snavely said the man was taken to the city jail, but as of about 2:15 p.m., police were preparing to take him to Stow Municipal Court for arraignment.
