Theft

SUV stolen: A man reported July 15 that someone stole his SUV of unspecified value and year from his driveway in Dallas Drive’s 1600 block during the night.

Money taken from apartment: A woman reported someone stole $300 from her apartment in Kent Road’s 4400 block during the afternoon July 13. Police said the investigation was closed.

Thefts from vehicles reported: Several Lakeview Boulevard residents reported July 12 that someone entered three unlocked vehicles, with thefts reported from two vehicles, during the night.

A man and woman reported someone entered their two vehicles and took a speaker and some CDs from one vehicle in Lakeview’s 3400 block.

A woman reported someone took some change from her vehicle while it was outside her home in Lakeview’s 3300 block.

Snowplow stolen: A man reported July 11 that someone took a snowplow of unspecified value from where it was stored near a barn on his property in Darrow Road’s 4200 block since the beginning of March.

Trash cans taken: A man reported someone took two 95-gallon trash cans of unspecified value from outside his home in McTaggart Road’s 1400 block during the late morning or early afternoon July 10.

Fraud

Phishing calls reported: A Stow woman reported July 13 that she received suspicious phone calls that she believed were phishing attempts at getting her to provide personal information. The woman said she had previously provided her Social Security number when receiving such calls, but did not provide any information this time.

Criminal trespassing

Two people seen in yard: A woman reported her home’s video security system showed two unknown people wearing hooded sweatshirts walking into her back yard in Klein Avenue’s 3900 block at about 7 p.m. July 13. The woman said the individuals could be seen examining a locked shed, but they did not try to enter it.
