STOW — Both city council and the parks and recreation board will have meetings on Thursday at city hall, 3760 Darrow Road.

Council’s regular meeting at 7 p.m. will be preceded by a planning committee meeting at 5:45 p.m., followed by meetings of the finance committee, the public improvements committee, and the committee of the whole.

Council is scheduled to have a third reading and a potential vote on legislation to place an issue on the November ballot that would ask voters to amend the charter to require the city’s dispatch center to remain in its safety building. Two different amendments to the legislation are scheduled to be proposed, one by Council member Sindi Harrison and another by Council member Brian Lowdermilk.

The parks and recreation board will meet at 6 p.m. in the boards and commissions meeting room at city hall.

Items on the park board’s agenda include an update on the city center project and a report on the community feedback survey that was conducted by the Impact Group. The city center project is expected to include an amphitheater, a play trail and a splash pad in an area near an unpaved parking lot along Louis A. Dirker Jr. Boulevard.
