CUYAHOGA FALLS — A two-vehicle crash sent a Kent woman to a hospital with suspected minor injuries and caused damage to a utility pole at the intersection of 2nd and Northland streets at about 2:15 p.m. Tuesday, said Police Capt. Steve Guldeman.

No injuries were reported to the driver of the other vehicle, a 43-year-old Navarre man, he said.

Guldeman said the woman was southbound on 2nd when the man’s westbound vehicle on Northland struck her vehicle.

"After the impact, [the woman’s vehicle] went off the right side of the roadway and struck and damaged a utility pole," said Guldeman, adding that he did not know how badly damaged the pole was.

There are no stop signs for 2nd Street traffic at the intersection, but there are stop signs on Northland. Guldeman said the man apparently did stop at the sign, but then moved forward, failing to yield to the woman, and he was cited.

"It was a stop sign violation, but he didn’t just blatantly run through the stop sign," he said.
