AKRON — Police say they are seeking the public’s help in identifying a man who assaulted a Cuyahoga Falls woman and stole her $8,500 engagement ring and other items while she was on the Towpath Trail Saturday night.

The suspect is described as white, 40 to 50 years old, around 5 feet 9 inches tall, with a medium build, gray hair with a goatee, and wearing an open black zip up hooded sweatshirt and blue jeans.
