Theft: A South Chillicothe Road business reported June 7 that while a clerk was ringing up a sale, a man came into the store, took merchandise and ran out. The estimated value of items taken was $200.
Trespassing: Officers warned a group of five juveniles from Shaker Heights, Cleveland and Chagrin Falls on June 7 to leave a private property on North Chillicothe Road, and they were told if they returned they would be arrested.
Building code citation: Officers gave a citation June 7 to a woman on Bryce Avenue for storage of junk and junk vehicles on the property.
Fraud: A Joseph Drive man reported June 10 that an unknown person used his credit card to make various online purchases. Total loss was $176. He closed the credit card account.
Warrant arrest: Officers responded June 10 to an East Boulevard home for an argument between two Aurora women. One woman was arrested on a warrant out of Geauga County and taken to the Geauga County Sheriff’s Department.
Vehicle fire: Police reported June 11 that after getting permission from an Aurora-Hudson Road property owner, two Solon juveniles (a female and a male) were driving on the property when the vehicle erupted into flames. Streetsboro firefighters were called to extinguish the fire, and no injuries were reported.
Collision: Police reported June 6 that an Akron man backed his work truck into an Aurora man’s vehicle on Cara Court, causing minimal damage to the back bumper. Insurance information was exchanged.
Illegal soliciting: While checking out a report June 5 of an unoccupied car parked on Cascades Drive for several hours, officers found a business card on the dashboard, contacted the car’s owner and found he was soliciting in the neighborhood without a permit. He was cited and advised to cease further soliciting until a permit was obtained.
Bicycle turned in: A Bank Street man reported June 5 that a bicycle was parked at the end of his driveway for several days. Officers picked up the bike and took it to the police station for safekeeping until it was claimed.
