Spencer D. Hopkins of Twinsburg was among the students who received a doctor of osteopathic medicine degree from Ohio University Heritage College of Osteopathic Medicine in May.

The child of Greg and Stephanie Hopkins of Twinsburg, in 2012 Hopkins earned a B.S. in biology from The Ohio State University, and is a 2007 graduate of Twinsburg High School. Hopkins will begin a residency in emergency medicine at OhioHealth Doctors Hospital in Columbus.

The 2019 graduating class was the 40th to graduate from the Heritage College, which was created by the Ohio Legislature in 1975, and is the only institution in the state accredited to educate osteopathic physicians.
