Operating a vehicle
under the influence
Firefighter reports erratic driver: A 59-year-old Richmond Heights man was charged with operating a vehicle under the influence of alcohol, blood alcohol content test refusal and marijuana possession after police said a Twinsburg firefighter following the man reported he was driving erratically on Route 91 at about noon April 29. Police said they stopped the man near Miktarian Parkway and arrested him after he performed poorly on the field sobriety tests. Three suspected marijuana cigarettes were found in the man’s vehicle, said police. He was given a Stow Municipal Court date and released on a personal bond.
Man stopped on interstate: A Shaker Heights man, 29, was charged with operating a vehicle under the influence of alcohol, blood alcohol content and marked lanes after police stopped his vehicle on Interstate 480 westbound near Route 82 at about 2:20 a.m. April 27. Police said the man’s BAC measured at 0.19 percent, more than double the 0.08-percent legal limit. The man was given a Stow Municipal Court date and released on a 10 percent of $2,500 bond.
Vehicle hit mailboxes: Two Cannon Road men reported April 29 that a vehicle hit their mailboxes during the night. Police said vehicle debris was found in the area. A police report did not include a damage estimate.
Men were fighting: Two Stow men, both 54, were cited with minor misdemeanor disorderly conduct after police responded to a report that the men were fighting in an Edison Boulevard bank’s parking lot at about 9:30 a.m. April 29. A police report did not say whether there were any injuries.
Man and woman cited: An Akron man, 32, and an Akron woman, 28, were cited with disorderly conduct after police responded to a report that they were arguing at an Edgewood Drive home during the early afternoon April 24. The man claimed the woman dented the bottom panel of the home’s screen door and the woman claimed the man kicked one of her vehicle’s doors, denting it, said police.
Unauthorized transactions made: A Maple Drive woman reported discovering multiple fraudulent transactions of unspecified amounts on her bank statement April 28. Police said there was a pending investigation.
Credit card charges reported: A Dooridge Drive woman reported April 27 that someone charged purchases totaling more than $165 against her credit card account. The woman said the card provider requested she file a police report.
Car scratched: A Darrow Road woman reported April 27 that someone scratched her car, possibly while it was in the parking lot of her apartment complex during the night. A police report did not include a damage estimate.
Animal at large
Boy bitten: An Altamont Drive man, 48, was charged with first-degree misdemeanor animal at large after a Twinsburg woman reported the man’s dog while loose bit her 8-year-old son during the early evening April 24. Police said that Twinsburg EMS treated the boy at the scene. The man was given a Stow Municipal Court date and released on a personal bond.
