Violating a protection order
Police respond to disturbance: A Bedford man, 31, was charged with first-degree misdemeanor violating a protection order after police responded to shouting between the man and a woman in a Northfield Road parking lot at about 2:30 a.m. and they discovered the woman had a protection order against the man. He was taken to Macedonia City Jail.
Man was at casino: An East Cleveland man, 37, was charged with misdemeanor criminal trespassing after MGM Northfield Park security reported the man entered the casino at a little after midnight May 1 after previously being told not to. The man was taken to Macedonia City Jail.

Boy allegedly assaulted: A 46-year-old township man was charged with first-degree misdemeanor domestic violence after police responded to a report that the man was hitting a 14-year-old boy outside their home while the boy was screaming for help during the early evening April 30. Injuries to the boy were not included in a police report, but police said a neighbor reported seeing the alleged assault. The man was taken to Macedonia City Jail.
Police witness road rage incident: A Twinsburg man, 66, was cited with disorderly conduct after a township police officer reported witnessing a road rage incident between the man and a Chagrin Falls man while the officer was putting gas into his vehicle at a service station at he intersection of Olde Eight and Valley View roads at a little after 10 a.m. April 23. The officer said he first heard the Twinsburg man yelling and then saw him get out of his car to yell at the Chagrin Falls man in an SUV while the Twinsburg man was stopped in the Valley View Road left turn lane to turn north onto Olde Eight. Police said this impeded traffic when the light turned green.
Police said that after the two men pulled off the road, the Twinsburg man claimed that while following the Chagrin Falls man westbound on Valley View, the SUV was traveling below the posted 35 mph speed limit. When the Twinsburg man flashed his headlights to get the Chagrin Falls man to speed up, he said, the Chagrin Falls man slowed to 15 mph. The Chagrin Falls man said he was traveling at 35 mph the whole time, but because he was driving for his job, he would not go over the speed limit.
Woman charged with felonies: A 24-year-old Cleveland woman was charged with two counts of fifth-degree felony theft from the elderly April 11 in connection with allegations that she took two electronic items totaling about $180 in value from a resident of a Route 82 assisted living facility where the woman worked in late December. The woman was taken to Stow Municipal Court from where she was released on a personal bond. Police said the electronics were recovered.
