CUYAHOGA FALLS — About 1,300 Cuyahoga Falls Electric Department customers lost power in the area around Theiss Road overnight Monday after a vehicle struck a utility pole on Theiss, said city spokeswoman Kelli Crawford-Smith.

Crawford-Smith said that as of about 8:35 a.m., only a handful of customers on Theiss were still without power. She said it is unknown when the power went out.

“We are unsure when [the pole] was hit because the driver left,” she said. “But it was overnight. People woke up without power.”
