Parking and entrance to the facility are at the rear of the church. Visitors are invited to all parts of the meeting. Twinsburg Garden Club members look forward to the meeting with Rossi to enrich their own knowledge and to welcome visitors who would like to share the experience.
Her presentation will focus on creating beautiful container plantings to enhance the home garden. She will provide information about plants that work particularly well in containers. Rossi has been a Summit County Master Gardener through The Ohio State University for 10 years.
An Akron native, she received her bachelor’s degree in political science and a degree in higher education administration from the University of Akron. She worked for the city of Akron for 15 years, then moved to Seattle, Wash., in 1992. While in Seattle she became a master recycler composter volunteer. Twelve years later, she and her husband moved back home to Akron.
Rossi retired from the Ohio State University extension office in 2010. For several years she was a member of the Springfield Township Parks Board. In that capacity she worked with the Springfield Township Parks Department and Boy Scout Troop 282 and played a major role in developing a pollinator garden on Pickle Road next to Schrop School. Rossi also volunteers for Stan Hywet Hall and Gardens.
