Cash and jewelry stolen: A River Rock Drive woman reported March 8 that someone took cash and jewelry totaling about $2,000 from her home while she was away from Jan.15 to Feb. 28. A police report did not say whether there was forced entry.
Boy charged in TV theft: A 15-year-old Cuyahoga Falls boy was charged in Summit County Juvenile Court with misdemeanor theft after his mother reported he took an approximately $150 television set from her bedroom March 7.
Car stolen from driveway: A Franklin Avenue man reported March 4 that someone stole an approximately $13,850 car belonging to another household member from their driveway during the night. The man said the car was locked and the keys were not in it.
Thefts from vehicles reported: A Preserve Circle man reported March 4 that someone stole an approximately $300 laptop computer from his unlocked vehicle while it was parked outside his home during the previous two days and other residents in the same neighborhood reported March 3 that someone entered their unlocked vehicles while they were parked outside their homes during the night, with thefts reported in most cases.
A Salt Creek Run woman reported someone took two sets of earbuds totaling about $200 in value from her vehicle and a South Creek Drive woman reported someone entered three vehicles and took two wallets totaling $100 in value and containing $100 and several credit cards. Another Preserve Circle man reported someone entered two vehicles and took a wallet containing five credit cards and a back pack and a third Preserve Circle man reported someone entered three vehicles and took about $10 in change from one of them. Yet another Preserve Circle man reported someone took a $7 seatbelt cutter/window breaker from his vehicle.
A fifth Preserve Circle man and a Lakeside oval man reported someone entered their vehicles, but did not take anything.
Money taken from car: A French Mill Run man reported March 3 that someone took $60 from his locked car while it was parked outside his home since the evening before. A police report did not say whether there was forced entry.
Wallet taken at Natatorium: A Stow man reported someone stole his wallet containing a driver’s license, bank card, prescription opioid medication strips and miscellaneous paperwork while he was at the city’s 4th Street Natatorium during the evening March 2. Police said the loss was estimated at $32. No charges to the bank card were reported.
Man claimed he had knife: A driver for a ride share company reported that a male passenger claimed he had a knife and demanded she give him her cellphone charger while they were in her vehicle on Clyde Avenue at about 9:30 a.m. March 6. The woman, however, said that when she drove into a parking lot nearby on Buchholzer Boulevard, the male ran away on foot without taking anything. Police said they were unable to identify a suspect and it is unclear whether he had a weapon.
