Bank card charges reported: A Luman Lane woman reported Feb. 25 that someone fraudulently charged nearly $2,100 to her bank card. Police said the bank was investigating.
Items stolen from vehicles: Police said several residents of the Ravenna Road and Rolling Hills Drive area reported Feb. 25 that someone entered their vehicles and took items in at least some cases. A police report listed a laptop computer and two cell phones of unspecified values as having been stolen. The report did not say whether there was forced entry.
Medication taken from purse: A Solon woman reported Feb. 19 that someone stole an unspecified prescription medication from her purse after she forgot it at a Darrow Road restaurant Feb. 7. The woman said the purse was found at the restaurant the next day, but the medication was missing. The woman’s physician told her to file a police report, the woman said.
License plate stolen: A Presidential Parkway man reported Feb. 16 that someone stole his vehicle’s rear license plate during the previous 12 days.

Man stopped for weaving: A Cleveland man, 38, was charged with operating a vehicle under the influence of alcohol, blood alcohol content test refusal, driving under suspension and weaving after police stopped his vehicle on Interstate 480 westbound at about 1:30 a.m. Feb. 23. The man was given a Stow Municipal Court date and released on a 10 percent of $2,500 bond.
Man seen on bicycle: A Cleveland man, 25, was arrested after police stopped him when they saw him riding a bicycle on Ravenna road near Ridgewood Drive without lights at about 3:25 a.m. Feb. 21 and discovered he was wanted by Garfield Heights police for failing to appear in court on a criminal trespassing charge. The man was turned over to Garfield Heights police.
Man arrested following crash: A 19-year-old Bedford man was arrested after it was determined he was wanted by Bedford police on a drug possession charge following a one-vehicle crash of a car the man was a passenger in on Interstate 480 eastbound at about 1:50 p.m. Feb. 20. Police said the car, driven by an 18-year-old Bedford woman, went off the road due to unknown circumstances. No injuries were reported and the car was damaged, but functioning. The man was turned over to Bedford police and the woman was cited with failure to control.
Man wanted by court: North Randall police reported Feb. 17 that they had in custody a 29-year-old Cleveland man wanted by Stow Municipal Court for failure to appear in court on a driving under suspension charge filed by Twinsburg police. The man was taken to Solon City Jail where he was held on a 10 percent of $5,000 bond.
Gun found in car: A 43-year-old Maple Heights man was charged with third-degree felony weapons under disability, fourth-degree felony charges of improper handling of a firearm in a motor vehicle and carrying a concealed weapon and minor misdemeanor drug possession after police stopped his vehicle for having no lights on Ravenna Road at about 5:10 a.m. Feb. 20. Police said they smelled the odor of marijuana in the vehicle and found a loaded 9 mm handgun accessible to the man and a small amount of suspected marijuana in the vehicle. Police said the third-degree felony charge is due to it being illegal for the man to possess a firearm because of prior felony drug trafficking and drug possession convictions. The man was taken to Solon City Jail.
Marijuana found during traffic stop: A Connecticut man, 35, was charged with misdemeanor drug possession, drug paraphernalia possession, driving under suspension and speeding after police said the clocked his vehicle’s speed at 78 mph in a 65 mph zone and stopped it on Interstate 480 westbound at about 12:15 a.m. Feb. 16. Police said they found a small amount of suspected marijuana, a marijuana pipe and a marijuana grinder in the vehicle. The man was summoned to appear in Stow Municipal Court and released.
