Twinsburg Fire and Police departments as well as Summit Metro Parks rangers recovered an injured worker from the Liberty Park trails around 11 a.m. on Wednesday, according to posts from the Twinsburg Fire Department’s Facebook page.

Twinsburg Capt. Mike Holbert confirmed a branch fell on the head of a worker who was assisting in the removal of tree parts at Liberty Park.

The 24-year-old male was removed from the scene by EMS crews using a rural terrain vehicle, according to the post by the fire department. It was reported he was conscious and alert when rescued and transported to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

The fire department said a previously completed project, which improved mapping for areas including the Liberty Park trails, helped crews have a better understanding of the worker’s location.
