HUDSON — Firefighters responded to a basement fire in a house at 37 Jefferson Drive early Wednesday morning, said city spokeswoman Jody Roberts.

Roberts said the residents were at home, but got out and the only reported injury was a minor one to a firefighter who slipped and fell on ice.

Roberts said the call came in at 12:53 a.m. The fire caused significant damage and the home is not currently habitable, she said. The Macedonia Fire Department and Valley Fire Districts provided mutual aid.

Roberts said additional information was not immediately available.
