No injuries were reported at a house fire in the 8600 block of Crow Drive, that had the road temporarily closed.
Macedonia firefighters responded shortly after 4 p.m. to a call regarding the fire on the 8600 block of Crow Drive, according to Lt. Rob Lewis. Northfield Village responded to the incident for mutual aid as well as is standard when a fire is confirmed.
The residents of the home were present when the fire occurred, according to Lt. Lewis. They, along with their two cats, were safe and there were no reported injuries.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation, but had to do with the chimney area that came out of the roof, Lt. Lewis said. The fire was extinguished quickly and caused minimal damage. The attic and roof sustained most of the damage.
