COLUMBUS – State Rep. Casey Weinstein (D-Hudson) Friday was named ranking member of the House Armed Services & Veterans Affairs Committee, the highest-ranking Democrat on the panel.
"I am honored to serve as the ranking member of the Armed Services & Veterans Affairs Committee," said Weinstein. "It was my service in the United States Air Force that first brought me to Ohio, and I eagerly await the opportunity to work in a bipartisan fashion with Chair Perales and Vice Chair Hood to honor our promise to Ohio veterans and their families."
A former captain in the Air Force and Hudson City Councilman, Weinstein was also selected to serve on House Agriculture & Rural Development and Energy & Natural Resources committees.
Committee meetings are open to the public and conducted any time before or after House floor sessions.
