NORTHFIELD CENTER — The southbound side of Interstate 271, south of the Route 8 interchange, was briefly closed Tuesday morning after a pickup truck towing a trailer flipped over, said Macedonia Fire Lt. Chip Davis.

"It crossed a bridge and got tangled up in a snowbank at the side of the guardrail and that flipped it over," said Davis.

Davis said there were no reported injuries to the two men in the truck.

Davis said the call came in at 8:28 a.m. and the fire department cleared the scene at 9:30 a.m. Davis said the highway was closed for about 15 minutes while the pickup truck was righted and debris removed. The Summit County Sheriff’s Office said the highway was reopened at 9:26 a.m.
