Operating a vehicle

under the influence

Woman charged following traffic stop: A Kent woman, 34, was charged with operating a vehicle under the influence of alcohol and open container following a traffic stop on Ravenna Street at about 1:50 a.m. Jan. 1.

Criminal mischief

Door banged on: Police responded to a report of someone banging on a Brewster Drive home’s front door late in the evening Dec. 31. Police said they checked the area, but did not find anyone. There was no damage, said police.

Criminal damaging

Mailboxes struck: A Brewster Drive man reported an unidentified vehicle struck his mailbox and a neighbor’s mailbox during the early evening Dec. 30.

Found property

Street signs and pole found at church: Police responded to a report that street signs for First and Clinton streets and the pole they were on were found outside a West Streetsboro Street church Dec. 30. Police said the city’s service department was contacted to retrieve the property.


Male waiting for ride: Police said that after they responded to a report of a male walking around a Village Way business’ parking lot for about an hour during the evening Dec. 29, they found the male had been waiting for a ride. The ride arrived and the male left, said police.

Garage door found open: A Nicholson Drive man reported seeing his neighbors’ garage door open while the neighbors were away on vacation Dec. 27. Police said they checked the home and did not find any indication of a break in.
