The Hudson Garden Club announces that its Dec. 13 general meeting will include a celebration of the holidays and a hands-on arranging experience.
All attendees are encouraged to bring a plate of Christmas cookies to share, and hand shears and gloves to help create decorative evergreen swags for Hudson’s first Christkindlmarkt.
All other supplies needed to create the evergreen swags will be provided by the club. The outdoor Christmas market is sponsored by the Hudson-Landsberg Sister City organization and is expected to draw thousands of guests to downtown Hudson for shopping, food, drink and musical entertainment. Christkindlmarkt is scheduled for Dec. 14 from 4 to 8 p.m.; Dec. 15 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.; and Dec. 16 from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. This traditional German street fair will take over the Hudson Green on Main Street.
The evergreen swags will be added to the more than two dozen vendor’s tents, and the Hudson Garden Club is thrilled to support the festive Christkindlmarkt. The Dec. 13 meeting will be at Laurel Lake (200 Laurel Lake Drive) with social time at 6:45 p.m., and the meeting will start at 7 p.m. The meeting is open to the public.
