Louie the Elf, Peppermint Sparkles and friends arrived prior to LuminoCity’s community lighting celebration to spread the cheer.
Louie’s Legos4Lights, presented by Ryan King State Farm, collected new Lego sets of any size Nov. 21 in exchange for a LuminoCity light up wand. All Legos benefit A Special Wish Foundation.
The event, formerly called Louie’s Light Exchange, gathered donations at Ryan King’s State Farm office, with complimentary refreshments by Robesto’s Catering and Reminderville Athletic Club.
"We’re very excited to get involved and give back with the community this year at Louie’s Legos4Lights," said Ryan King of State Farm. "A Special Wish Foundation serves children between birth and 20 years of age with life-threatening diseases. Currently, A Special Wish impacts more than 150 families at the main campus of Cleveland Clinic, UH Rainbows Babies and Children’s Hospital, and Akron Children’s Hospital. I’ve personally been involved with A Special Wish for many years and the kids truly appreciate every contribution."
Attendees took their light up wands to Twinsburg Government Center for LuminoCity Nov. 24, the city’s annual holiday kickoff event featuring music, entertainment, a community march to Township Square, fireworks and more.
Additional sponsors included the city of Twinsburg, Twinsburg Township and the village of Reminderville.
