Youth Services:Halloween story telling

Halloween Storytelling at the Twinsburg Historical Society Barn will be Oct. 25 from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Join for spooky stories and fun at the barn on the south side of the Twinsburg Township Square. Feel free to wear a Halloween costume. Stay after the stories for some sweet treats. This is for children in grades kindergarten through fifth. Registration is required.

Kindergarten Academy is Oct. 28

Give your child a taste of kindergarten Oct. 28 from 3 to 4 p.m. with this fun, educational series based on the "16 Skills for Success" that Summit County recommends to help children learn. Join for a story time focusing on some of the skills and, afterwards, work with your child on activities designed to help gauge a child’s skill level. This is for ages 4-5 years entering kindergarten in the fall of 2019 with a caregiver. Registration is required.

Adult Services:Intro to Spanish II

Introduction to Spanish, Part II will be Oct. 17 from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Adults and teens can continue learning Spanish with Part 2 of the Introduction to Spanish series. Registration and a $10 fee are required prior to the start of class. Note that the final class will be Nov. 20 instead of Nov. 21 due to the library closing early for the Thanksgiving holiday.

Navigating the Medicare Maze

Medicare Plan Specialist Sharon Honroth returns Oct. 18 from 6 to 8 p.m. with an update on Medicare Parts A, B, and D. She will explain what is covered and the options for filling the gap. Registration is required.

Auditions for December’s adult play

Audition for "World War II Christmas Radio" by Pat Kruis Tellinghusen, a moving holiday show which recreates the experience of attending a recording of a 1940s radio show broadcast on a Christmas eve during World War II. Prepare a monologue or use those provided at the audition. No registration is needed for this volunteer production, open to adult actors who would like a chance to perform. For questions email
