Car theft. An Aurora man reported Sept. 26 that his vehicle was taken from the Aurora High parking lot. He said his keys were left in the ignition while he ran into the school to pick up something. Various items were in the vehicle, but no value was provided.

Warrant arrest. A Cleveland woman was transferred from Brecksville police custody to Aurora on Sept. 28 on a warrant for failing to appear on a driving under suspension citation. She was booked at the police station and taken to the Portage County Jail.

Suspended license. A Streetsboro man was cited Sept. 28 for failing to reinstate his driver’s license and given a verbal warning for having no front license plate after a traffic stop at South Chillicothe and Aurora Road.

Hit-skip incident. A Hilliary Lane man reported Sept. 28 that his vehicle was struck by an unknown driver while parked on the street outside his house.

Warrant arrest. A Solon man wanted on a warrant for failing to appear in court was pulled over Sept. 28 on North Aurora Road after a caller reported he was weaving over the center line. Police confirmed he had failed to reinstate his license after it was suspended. The man was turned over to Solon police and his car was towed.

Dog at large. Police told a Moneta Avenue man Sept. 30 that he would be receiving a citation for his dog being at large after they answered a complaint of an aggressive dog running through the neighborhood.

Fraud incident. A Pinehurst Drive woman reported Oct. 1 that an unknown person called her and tried to get her personal information. She notified her credit card company and no loss was reported. She was advised to contact police if she had further information.

Possible illegal entry. An Eggleston Road man reported Sept. 29 that when he arrived home he found the hood vent to his oven open and the light bulb out. He also said the man door to the garage was open. Nothing was found missing, and he was advised to contact police if he later found anything missing.

Hit-skip incident. A Strongsville woman reported Sept. 29 that her car was struck while parked at a store on South Chillicothe Road. She said a note was left, and police contacted a Solon man who admitted to hitting her car. Insurance information was exchanged.

Injury crash: An Aurora woman was cited Sept. 13 for failing to yield at a stop sign after a crash at Route 43 and Barrington Boulevard. Police said the woman pulled from Barrington Boulevard onto Route 43 and was struck by a northbound vehicle driven by a Tallmadge man. The woman was transported to Ahuja Medical Center and the man to Hillcrest Hospital for treatment of injuries.
