HUDSON — Students at Western Reserve Academy are the stars of a new video about the school, released last week.
Titled “Your Second Home,” the video shows the nearly two-centuries old school through the eyes — and voices — of its own community.
Recently WRA was again ranked the No. 1 Private High School in Ohio by Niche and dubbed “The Most Beautiful Private High School in Ohio” by Architectural Digest. The new video celebrates these accolades and provides a window into the unique advantages of living where you learn.
“Our students are stars inside the classroom, on the playing fields and on the stage,” said Director of Communications and Marketing Meg Colafella. “The new video celebrates the school and is a tribute to our traditions and community. Our students and faculty are not only outstanding at what they do, they are our best ambassadors.”
The video was choreographed by film company “The Film Guys,” who spent several weeks on campus meeting students and teachers, writing and choreographing the project. Sarah Forrer, media relations manager, acted as the production manager for the video.
“It was gratifying to see our community come together to create such an accurate, fun and current picture of the school,” Forrer said. “Every day we ask our students, faculty and staff to help us describe boarding school, but it turns out it was easier to sing it.”
