Electronics stolen from apartment: An Americana Drive woman reported Sept. 8 that someone entered her apartment through unknown means and took a 50-inch television set, a video game system, and two laptop computers totaling an estimated $2,600 in value while she was away since late August.


Bicycles stolen from home: A Chestnut Boulevard man reported someone took three bicycles totaling about $1,500 in value from outside his home during the morning or early afternoon Sept. 8.

Cell phone taken off counter: A Uniontown woman reported someone took her approximately $400 cell phone from a counter at a State Road business during the late morning Sept. 8.

Glasses frames stolen: An employee of a Howe Avenue optical business reported someone took two pairs of glasses frames totaling more than $100 in value during the late morning Sept. 6.

Clothing package stolen: A Bailey Road woman reported discovering Sept. 5 that someone took a package containing women’s clothing totaling about $500 in value after it was delivered to her home Aug. 31.

Bike stolen at business: An Akron man reported someone stole his approximately $90 bicycle while it was unsecured outside a Cuyahoga Falls Industrial Parkway business during the morning Sept. 5.

Woman charged: A Broad Boulevard woman, 29, was charged with misdemeanor theft after a Graham Road store employee reported the woman left the store without paying for miscellaneous food items totaling about $25 in value Sept. 5.

Bike stolen from restaurant: A Ravenna man reported someone took his approximately $100 bicycle from outside a Howe Avenue restaurant during the morning Sept. 2. A police report did not say whether the bike was secured to anything.

Beverages stolen from store: A Howe Avenue store manager reported an unidentified male left the store without paying for 15, 12-packs of an energy drink and eight, 12-packs of ale totaling about $425 in value Sept. 1.

Clothing theft attempt reported: A Kent woman, 21, was charged with misdemeanor theft after a Howe Avenue store employee reported the woman tried to leave the store without paying for clothing totaling about $215 in value Aug. 31.


Items left on property: A Hudson man reported Sept. 7 that someone dumped various items including furniture, glass and toys on a piece of State Road commercial property owned by a Georgia man.

Criminal damaging

Vehicle window shattered: An Akron woman reported someone using an unknown weapon shattered a rear passenger side window of a vehicle she was driving on Route 8 northbound at about 7:30 a.m. Sept. 4. Police said the damage was estimated at about $500.

Criminal mischief

Chicken fence disconnected: A Prior Drive man reported Sept. 1 that someone disconnected wire chicken fencing outside his home since the evening before.

Passing bad checks

Fraudulent check used: A Colorado man reported Aug. 31 that someone used a fraudulent check to falsely deposit approximately $4,160 into his account at a Bailey Road bank branch, then withdrew $3,850 from the account.
