STOW — There have been recent thefts from vehicles, including the theft of a firearm in one case, in the Bayside Lakes area, as well as around Echo Valley Drive, the police department posted on its Facebook page Monday.

Police said some of the vehicles were locked and others were unlocked, with a window smashed in the case of the locked vehicles.

"It is fairly rare when a suspect will take a chance of being caught by breaking a window," said police. "In those incidents, the victims had items within sight that allowed the suspect(s) to take a chance."

Police saId that anyone who sees anything suspicious should report it at 330-689-5700.

"We have K9s on each shift and they keep barking that they want to track and catch a bad guy," said police.
