Criminal damaging

Rock thrown at house: A Lindsey Drive woman told police that after she was awakened at about 10:40 p.m. June 20 by a loud noise outside her home, she found a large rock had been thrown at the front of her residence. The upper part of a window frame was damaged, police said.

Traffic crash

Drivers transported to medical facilities: A Cuyahoga Falls man, 32, was cited with failure to yield following a two-vehicle crash on South Main Street at about 9:25 a.m. June 24 that sent him and a Northmoreland Avenue woman to area medical facilities with possible injuries. Police said the man was traveling south in the left turn lane in South Main's 100 block when he turned to drive into a parking lot in front of the woman's northbound vehicle. The woman then hit the man's vehicle, causing it to spin around facing north where it came to a stop in the middle of the road. The woman's vehicle rolled off to the east side of the road before coming to a stop. Both vehicles sustained disabling damage, police said.

Aggravated trespass

Boy charged: A 16-year-old Stow boy was charged with misdemeanor charges of aggravated trespassing, marijuana possession and drug paraphernalia possession after an Oakhurst Drive man reported a possible attempted burglary at about 8 p.m. June 25. The Stow boy was charged in juvenile court and turned over to a guardian. No charges were reported against the Akron boy. Police said they were handling him within the department and a guardian was notified.

Cab fare allegedly not paid: A Wrens Drive woman, 44, was charged with misdemeanor theft after a cab driver reported she did not pay a nearly $30 fare at her home June 30. The woman was taken to Macedonia City Jail, police said.

DVDs reported taken: A Kent man, 58, was charged with misdemeanor theft after police responded to a report that the man tried to leave a store in Kent Road's 4200 block with DVDs totaling about $145 in value June 28. The man was summoned to appear in Stow Municipal Court and released.

Woman arrested at store: A Greentree Road woman, 59, was charged with misdemeanor theft after police responded to a report that the woman tried to take merchandise totaling about $83 in value from a store in Kent Road's 4300 block June 28. The woman was summoned to appear in Stow Municipal Court and released.

Operating a vehicle

under the influence

Man had high BAC: A Ravenna man, 61, was charged with operating a vehicle under the influence of alcohol, blood alcohol content, and open container after police stopped his vehicle on Kent Road's 4300 block at a little after 8 p.m. June 29. Police said the man's BAC level measured at 0.24 percent, three times the 0.08-percent legal limit. The man was given a Stow Municipal Court date and released on a personal bond.
