Marijuana found in vehicle: A Detroit man, 42, and another Michigan man, 28, were cited with marijuana possession after police stopped a vehicle the men were passengers in for a lane violation in West Avenue's 400 block at about 4:40 p.m. June 8.
Two other Michigan men, ages 24 and 28 and also passengers in the vehicle, were cited with open container. Police said they smelled an odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle and suspected marijuana was found in the men's possession, police said. No charges or citations were reported against the vehicle's unidentified driver.
Man found asleep at wheel: An Akron man, 32, was cited with minor misdemeanor drug possession after police stopped to investigate when they saw him slumped over his vehicle's steering wheel in the parking lot of a store in West Avenue's 400 block at about 6:35 p.m. June 8. Police said they saw bag containing a small amount of suspected marijuana on the vehicle's center console and after waking the sleeping man up, they cited him.
Man previously warned: A 47-year-old Akron man was charged with first-degree misdemeanor aggravated trespassing after a woman reported the man was on her front porch in Southeast Avenue's 700 block at about 9:20 p.m. June 5. Police said the man fled on foot before they arrived, but they found him in Eastwood Avenue's 400 block. Police said they had responded to the woman's home earlier in the evening after she reported the man was on her property. At the time the man was warned not to return or he would be charged, police said.
The man was summoned to appear in Stow Municipal Court and police took him to an Akron location.
Woman found in apartment: An Akron woman, 28, was charged with fourth-degree misdemeanor criminal trespassing after a property manager reported the woman was in a vacant apartment in North Thomas Road's 200 block June 5. The woman was summoned to appear in Stow Municipal Court and Tallmadge EMS took her to Akron City Hospital for suspected intoxication, police said.
