Operating a vehicle
under the influence
Police see vehicle hit curb: A Solon man, 44, was charged with operating a vehicle under the influence of alcohol, blood alcohol content over the legal limit, failure to control and open container after police said they saw the man’s vehicle strike a curb and stopped him on Route 91 near Interstate 480 at about 2:45 a.m. May 4. Police said the man’s BAC level measured at 0.154 percent, nearly twice the legal limit. He was given a Stow Municipal Court date and released on a personal bond.
Phone stolen at store: A Twinsburg woman reported someone took her juvenile son’s cell phone after he put the phone down while in a Ravenna Road store and then forgot it when he left during the late afternoon May 2. The woman said her son went to a park and by the time he realized he did not have his phone and returned to the store, it was gone. Police said it could not be determined from store security video who took the phone. A police report did not include the phone’s value.
Man found outside apartments: A Macedonia man, 24, was cited with disorderly conduct while intoxicated after police responded to a report that the man was lying on the ground at a Pebble Creek Drive apartment complex in the early evening May 2.
Fire department finds marijuana: The Twinsburg Fire Department reported suspected marijuana was found on its Glenwood Drive Station 2 property May 1.
Marijuana found in motel room: A Gettysburg Drive man, 21, was cited with minor misdemeanor marijuana possession after police responded to an anonymous report of an odor of marijuana coming from the man’s room in a Twin Hills Drive motel April 28. Police said they found a suspected marijuana joint in the room.
Man was skateboarding: A Westwood Drive man, 19, was charged with fourth-degree misdemeanor criminal trespassing after police responded to a report that the man was skateboarding at a Ravenna Road shopping center during the late morning May 1. Police said there is a sign specifically forbidding skateboarding on the property.
Phone bought with phony bills: A Cleveland woman reported that after she arranged to meet with an unidentified man in a Darrow Road store’s parking lot to sell a cell phone to him April 29, she later discovered he used counterfeit $50 bills to pay for the phone. The sale price was not included in the report.
Mother reports threat: A 13-year-old Twinsburg boy was charged with fourth-degree misdemeanor domestic violence and unruliness after his mother reported April 29 that he threatened her and was being unruly.
Woman not out any money: A Neille Lane woman reported April 26 that someone unsuccessfully tried to charge a $247 purchase against her store credit card account
Man reports charges: A Burridge Circle man reported April 26 that he found two unauthorized charges to his credit card account that totaled less than $8.
