The Interact Club of Twinsburg collected "jeans for teens" again this spring.

About 310 pairs of lean new or gently used jeans in any size were dropped off in boxes at the Twinsburg Public Library, Twinsburg High School and the Twinsburg Fitness Center over the past month. Jeans are the No. 1 requested items for homeless teens. Donated jeans were taken to the Chagrin Falls Park Community Center which serves local area homeless teens. This is the club’s fifth year of collecting jeans.

Interact is a service club for teens seventh through 12th grade sponsored by the Rotary Club of Twinsburg.

The club’s next activity is a dog parade and contest May 19, from noon to 2 p.m. on Twinsburg Township Square. The dog parade will begin at 12:30 p.m. and the judging begins at 1 p.m. Contests include smallest or biggest dog, best tail wag, best costume, highest jump, best kiss, best eyes and fluffiest. Prizes for dogs will be provided by Handel’s Ice Cream. Donations will support the Humane Society of Summit County.
