The Hudson Public Schools Endowment Fund invites golfers to join for the "Hudson Open" June 8 at Ellsworth Meadows for a day of golf, sun and friends.

The Hudson Open, formerly known as the Dodie (Synder) Open, is part of the annual campaign to raise funds to support educational programs and provide grant opportunities for state-of-the-art equipment in the Hudson Schools.

After an 8:30 a.m. shotgun start, enjoy lunch after finishing a picturesque 18 holes. The top men’s, women’s and mixed foursomes earn golf prizes, with multiple raffle items from local merchants.

Hole sponsorships are available for each tee box and other sponsorships are available. Interested persons can golf, donate prizes and make a tax-deductible donations straight to the fund. Tickets will be sold at the Acme June 2 and June 3 for the raffle as well.

"Last year, our event raised approximately $13,600," said Nellie Booth, co-chair of the outing and vice chair of HPSEF. 

"With this support we have been able to fund numerous initiatives, including innovative science equipment and the sway-glide for students," Booth said. "We sincerely appreciate the awesome support from the Hudson community."
