HUDSON — Camp Invention, the nation’s premier summer enrichment day camp program, supported by the United States Patent and Trademark Office and a product of the National Inventors Hall of Fame, is coming to Seton Catholic School the week of June 4 through June 8.

Camp Invention, for students entering grades one through six, is a weeklong adventure that will turn the summer from ordinary to extraordinary through hands-on problem solving, using science, technology, engineering and mathematics. Registration is available online at

Camp Invention provides an opportunity for inventive young minds to exercise their creativity and use their imagination in ways they don’t normally get to in the classroom. Program participants do not realize they are learning and developing new skills as they build prototypes, take things apart, explore different types of technology and more.

"We are thrilled to offer Camp Invention to students entering grades one through six this year," said Laura Zaleski, Seton teacher and director of Camp Invention. "The hands-on curriculum helps to further insert curiosity into a child’s everyday lifestyle. As the need for skilled STEM professionals increases, we believe we are setting our students up for success by offering programs like Camp Invention."

This year’s Camp Invention curriculum is called "Fast Forward." In addition to Camp Invention, Seton Celebrates Summer — a camp for pre-kindergarten boys and girls — will be offered June 5 through 8 from 9 a.m. to noon. Seton Celebrates Summer is a STREAM Camp designed for children who will be 4 years old by June 1, and for five-and-six-year-olds who are preparing for kindergarten.

Seton’s STREAM Camp is science, technology, religion, engineering, art and math, incorporated into four mornings filled with fun experiences. STREAM Camp is a fantastic way to inspire creative young minds. Campers will participate in activities that set a foundation for confidence, collaboration, communication, critical thinking and creativity. Campers will celebrate summer engaged in art, music, creative play and gross motor physical activities. To register, contact Pat Fritz at or 330-342-4200 ext. 226.
