Vehicle seen: Police responded to the area of Steeplechase Lane and St. Leger Street after a woman reported seeing a car driving back and forth at around 3:20 a.m. March 4. Police said they determined that the driver was dropping someone off at a St. Leger Street home.
Loud music reported: Police responded to the area of Falls River Road and Chase Drive after an anonymous person reported hearing loud music at a little before 3 p.m. March 4. Police said everything was quiet when they arrived.
Cable wire taken: A woman reported someone took a cable wire leading from a box in front of her home to the back during the afternoon March 3. The woman said she had called the cable company and was told they had not taken the wire.
Merchandise stolen from store: An employee of of a Northmoreland Avenue store reported Feb. 25 that two unknown women and an unknown man could be seen on store security video leaving the store without paying for miscellaneous merchandise totaling an estimated $400 to $500 in value the evening before.
Fraudulent retirement claim reported: A Lindsey Road woman reported Feb. 13 that someone used her personal information to file a Social Security retirement claim. The woman said she had reported the matter to the Social Security Administration. The woman said the issue may be related to withdrawals totaling about $187 that were made against her bank account in 2017.

Vehicle rummaged through: A woman reported Feb. 23 that someone entered her unlocked vehicle and rummaged through its glove box and center console while the vehicle was parked outside her home in Wexford Boulevard's 2700 block since the evening before. The woman said she did not believe anything of value was taken.
Receiving stolen property
Boy found with jewelry: A Stow boy, 16, was charged with fifth-degree felony receiving stolen property and cited with marijuana possession and violating curfew after police said they saw him walking along Berwin Drive at about 12:40 a.m. Feb. 22. Police said they found the boy in possession of gold rings, bracelets and necklaces totaling about $2,100 in value that a Berkley Place woman reported was stolen from her home. The boy was released to a parent pending notification of a Summit County Juvenile Court date.
Woman takes shoes: An employee of a store in Kent Road’s 4200 block reported an unknown woman left the store without paying for an $85 pair of women’s shoes and then drove away in a vehicle Feb. 22. Police said they searched the area, but were unable to find the vehicle and the employee was unable to provide a complete enough license plate number to identify the vehicle.
Hydrant water reported taken: An Osage Street man, 27, was charged with misdemeanor theft after a city employee reported the man took about $10 worth of water from a city fire hydrant in Vira Road’s 3800 block Feb. 22. Police said the man allegedly used the water in his truck. The man was summoned to appear in Stow Municipal Court and released.
Clothing and cosmetics allegedly taken: A Samira Road woman was charged with misdemeanor theft after an employee of a store in Kent Road’s 4200 block reported the woman left the store without paying for clothing and cosmetics totaling more than $200 in value Feb. 22. The woman was summoned to appear in Stow Municipal Court and released.
Shoes reported stolen: An employee of a store in Kent Road’s 4200 block reported four unknown females left the store without paying for a $90 pair of shoes Feb. 21.
Misuse of a credit card
Fraudulent charges reported: A Tudor Lane man reported Feb. 21 that someone charged several purchases totaling more than $80 to his credit card the week before.
