The Cuyahoga Falls Police Department in conjunction with Target and Western Reserve Hospital will have a National Night Out event on Aug. 4 from 5 to 9 p.m. The event will have safety equipment, canine demonstrations, activities for the children and food. The event is free and will take place in the parking area of the Target store, 449 Howe Ave. National Night Out is an annual community-building campaign that promotes police-community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie to make neighborhoods safer, better places to live, according to Falls Police Chief Jack Davis.
