Thefts from vehicles: Police received several reports of items being taken from vehicles around the city.

A Pinehurst Drive man reported July 15 that someone entered his unlocked vehicle and took his wallet. No loss estimate was given.

Also that day, a South Sussex Court woman reported someone entered her vehicle -- she wasn't sure if it was locked, but there were no signs of forced entry -- and took her purse with $50 in cash and several credit cards. The total value of the loss was $200.

On July 16, police were dispatched for a report of two unlocked cars being entered overnight. Sporting equipment, wallets, cash and credit cards were missing, but no total value was provided.

Alcohol theft: Someone on Country Club Lane reported the July 18 theft of three bottles of liquor. No value was given.

Illegal withdrawal: An Aurora woman reported July 20 that someone accessed her bank account and withdrew $3,700, resulting in overdraft fees of $1,401.

Warrant arrest: During a traffic stop July 15, it was discovered a Kent man, who was a passenger in the car, had a warrant from Ravenna police. He was handed over to Ravenna authorities, and the driver was warned about speeding and not driving in marked lanes.

Found wallet: A woman turned in a wallet July 17 that she said she found on a local street. Its owner was notified.

Fraud incident: A business on Danner Drive reported July 20 that two company checks were cashed fraudulently by unknown persons. Each was for $958.

Property damage: An East Garfield Road woman reported July 22 that her car's sunroof was pried open during the early morning hours. No items were reported missing. No damage estimate was given.

TRAFFIC-RELATED CASES

Semi overturns: A semi-truck overturned near McDonald's on July 17 at about 5:05 p.m., and a large steel coil fell off the truck, according to Aurora police.

The incident occurred at 199 W. Garfield Road when the driver -- a 42-year-old Youngstown man -- pulled his vehicle off the right side of the road. The vehicle slipped into a ditch and fell on its side.

The driver was treated at the Cleveland Clinic in Twinsburg. No one else was reported injured. No citation was issued.

DUI citation: During a traffic stop for speeding July 17 on South Chillicothe Road, an Aurora man was cited for driving under the influence. He was released on bond.

Rear-end crash: A Chagrin Falls female juvenile was cited for assured clear distance July 22 after police said she struck a New Mexico man's vehicle from behind, pushing it into cars driven by an Aurora man and Garrettsville woman. No injuries resulted.

Traffic signal violation: An Aurora woman was cited July 9 for failing to obey a traffic control device after police said she pulled into the path of an Aurora man's vehicle at a three-way intersection on Aurora-Hudson Road and was struck. No injuries resulted.
